Great wine for the price from earthy Priorat, its got mineral and all that Spanish jazz you expect, again what a great deal, big dry finish! — 6 years ago
Incredible depth. Beautiful wine that keeps going. Saline notes, caramel. This is some smooth jazz. — 7 years ago
Nice balance of honey to acid. A very light straw color and lemon papaya nose. Strong yellow fruits on the tongue and a tingling acid finish. Remarkable as it warms to room temp. Easy to finish and start a second bottle. So, what's your life story...? Very satisfying at around $16 a bottle. — 7 years ago
Pear, stone, oak, more spring than autumn. A breezy spring day with a few dry leaves still blowing down the walkway. Buds on the branches. Glad I'm wearing a sweater. Here comes the sun. Another sip... take a deep clean breath. The grille comes out of the shed for that lovely white fleshed fish with lemon and olive oil. Crusty bread. Asparagus. Jazz or just the birds? Me humming? — 8 years ago

Big, juicy, fruit-forward Napa blend. Plum, cassis, black cherry, pepper, and baking spice. 14.7% alc. with energy and immediate impact. Also, one of the best labels I've seen in quite some time. — 9 years ago
My favorite region, Vacqueyras, is always a joy to save for myself when I know I’ll have a Friday night in. That way I can sit, sip, and enjoy a glass, not worrying about time passing or the pressure of people. I pair with slow old timey New York City jazz, Flamenco, or some newly discovered West African Blues, a good book, or a classic film.
As always, the bouquet is rich, drupel fruits, dried figs, tobacco, juicy plums, and even the thick vegetation of a forest in a Florida summer.
This bottle reminds me of why I fell in love with this underrated region in the first place — the body is complex. Medium to full. It’s got its own charisma. The cranberries up front drop to a smokey barbecue of artichokes, then finally a nice lemon zip at the end lingers. — 6 years ago
Where the name doesn’t apply this wine soars! Jazz, artisanal chocolate (Fijian ginger and kerikeri mandarin if you must know), and some friends wearing fantastic Pyjamas.... this wine fits right in. — 6 years ago
2010 Rippon Mature Vine Pinot Noir & Harold Alexander’s Soul Jazz masterpiece Sunshine Man. New Zealand Pinot continues to be a revelation, and this one is terrific. This record is layered and detailed, yet remains exuberant and easy to love. The wine fits the exact same description. — 7 years ago
Nicely mineral with peach, pineapple and lemon zest! Perfect for a beach day! — 8 years ago
Santa Claud sings jazz to you in a small bar in Normandy, and you're cold but ruddy. Is this stand up or true mirth? It's the holiday you imagine in a bar near Skid Row in Downtown LA when you take a sip of this and are transported by a northern bite to your tongue. Irony or sincerity--it's so fresh but so sweet! I could go for more fizz, but one only feels permitted to request such things when engulfed by luxury — 8 years ago
Great blend with fruit and earth well done together! — 9 years ago
Ripe melon on the nose. Rich round complex tropical. Pineapple. Mango. River rock- a touch of astringency to balance the ripeness. Creamy without cloying. Oh so very lovely. It calls for soft shelled crab- any seafood really that’s very fresh and simply prepared. Music? Hmmmm. Jazz. Not studio. Live sets that have some ad lib in them. Nothing too controlled. Celebratory. Savor. Raise that- get it out for friends nice glass- to life!!!! — 6 years ago
Amazing wine with body, dry, explosions of plum and berries. Jazz party in your mouth with every sip followed by a finish that's like a sightly nippy night. — 6 years ago

A nicely balanced Zinfandel that was a pleasant surprise for Amador County. Great fruit with a balance of oak and acidity. Enjoyed it with grilled lamb, a match made in heaven. — 9 years ago
