Fruit forward and jammy with light tannins — 3 years ago
Nice, minerality, jammy wine with an oak finish — 4 years ago
2016. Valerie discover this wine at her Von’s. It is our go-to second wine, and many a time, our first wine. Dry and sophisticated for a $15 bottle of wine. — 5 years ago
Deep inky red. Berries and bold. Very nice — 6 years ago
Concentrated and complex. Wonderful Syrah. — 8 years ago
Light fruit aroma, intense deep nearly opaque purple, jammy and thick with notes of raspberry and strawberry. Delicious. — 2 years ago
One word....outstanding. — 4 years ago
2005 Vintage. 16.4% Alcohol. 93% Grenache, 7% Syrah. Wow, this wine was stunning. Cork broke in two using the lever screwpull but saved it with a hand corkscrew for the remaining half inch. Even under the intact wax cap. Found it hidden in double deep racking on the white/rose side of my cellar. Big fruit and velvety mouthfeel. Not obviously hot, but packed a punch! — 5 years ago
Another excellent Tobin James everyday wine. Aromas of fruit and berries, inky black, well balanced. Very nice — 6 years ago
From CA vineyard royalty. Improves as it warms and with air time. This is a lesson in balance. Not a steely chard full of tropical flavors yet retains its minerality. Not an oak laced butter bomb but merely hints that it saw a minimal amount of oak in it's lifetime. Only 12.2% which is incredibly refreshing in a chard, especially one from a warmer climate. Tragic that 2013 was the last vintage before the chard vines were ripped out of the vineyard. — 8 years ago
This very — VERY— dry Alsatian style Riesling from 40+ year old vines is a fantastic food wine. It’s loaded with bracing acidity that is incredibly well integrated into pear, lychee, grapefruit, and minerals. Beautiful gold color with a nose full of canned peach and wet stone. I wish it wasn’t the last of my allocation, especially since Bedrock seems to have stopped producing it after the 2019 vintage. — 9 months ago
Maybe stored too long. Not the jammy big nose fruit forward wine I was expecting. Still quite nice. — 3 years ago
Just will say that it is near perfect with a peppery steak. — 5 years ago
Very interesting Roussanne. Saline notes, good minerals, sweet finish. Pretty complex. — 5 years ago
Delicious Jammy Berries, blackberry, spice, wood, vanilla, what a nice nose after sitting in the glass for a while. — 6 years ago
Acid fresh tart juice, somewhat oaky, long complex finish with minerality — 7 years ago

Brought out of the cellar. From a trip to Napa in 2011? Cherry and tobacco on the front. Hints of mint as it lingers. Still a full tannic finish after 16 years. Another bottle in the cellar to try in a few years more. Paired with locally sourced braised beef short ribs. — 9 months ago
