Amarone cask finished? So silky & sexy that it's almost not Scotch.

A legendary Greek from the isle of Santorini - Mavrotragano. Rustic and woody, if this wine was a Greek myth, it would be the Trojan horse! — 11 years ago

Youthful merlot with attitude. Harris is my middle name! Clear, day bright, purple with pink rim, medium viscosity. Nose: powerful, young, minerality and chalky notes. French oak smelling of vanilla icing and marble cake. Makes me think of a wedding. Palate: velvet mouth feel, dry, med+ body, black current, cranberry and tart plum skin, astringent-perfume notes, the oak leaves a vanilla/amaretto type of note. Cherry vanilla. High firm tannins that rip your lips up, med+ alcohol, med acid, med+ finish, medium complexity. My first nickel and nickel......cant wait to try vinous versions. — 11 years ago
