Great blend, cherries and spice with a background sweetness of caramel and toffee. Lavender and tobacco smoke in the finish with moderate tannins and a luxurious mouth feel. No doubt this one will gain complexity over the years but it is really good now. — 8 years ago

The Batard Montrachet came from Arvind & Beverly’s personal cellar. It was perfect. I adore this Batard! 😍😘😘😍🙌. This was a glorious prelude to a long evening of wine indulgence. It is quite an indulgence to finally be able to tank up on this Pomerol, especially after tipping, then renouncing so many bottles of domestic reds in recent days. Merlot/ Cab Franc blends, especially by Chateaux like this one, just simply reinvigorate the soul primed for disappointment.
