Smells incense-y and lovely. Very floral and bery berry. Nice finish. Rose: petals, hips, and water. For this price I could drink it all day. — 7 years ago
A Barolo to find and hold. Picture perfect in the decanter (3hrs). A Sunday wine, like a perfectly braised lamb shoulder. Getting better as it breathes. The nose is all Barolo. Complex dark fruit. Spice. Pepper. Cherries. It attacks the palate and then immediately softens with a blackberry finish that leaves the perfect amount of heat behind. The tannins are integrated and silky and suggestive of a long life ahead. This minuscule production wine is amazing and you should fight to find it. I was sad when we finished the bottle. — 8 years ago
Much brighter nose than I expected. Plums and cherries with an herbaceous backbone. A hint of leather as well. — 9 years ago
Had it with pepperoni pizza and chicken tenders with barbecue sauce. Decanted for an hour. Smooth spicy sweet dark fruit. I enjoyed this wine. — 9 years ago
1998 Corino Vigna Giachini -beautiful modern style rustic Barolo . Great and long on palate. Will go great with a steak and Barbeque ribs ( I will have leftovers with this). — 10 years ago
I've seen bad reviews from people on this wine but I quite enjoyed it. Slight skin contact and time in barrel. There version of a white burgundy is what Ciro said. I work mainly with Italian wine and for me this was quite separate from the rest of Italy in a really good way. I felt the wine to be unique and complex and highly recommend it. — 10 years ago
This is great with tonight's pizza-I think I detect a hint of caramel too! — 12 years ago
Tasted at the Pittsburgh wine festival. I’ll try to rate more of the wines I tasted but for now, here’s my fave Barolo of the night. 🌹 #pghwinefestival — 7 years ago
Popped and poured; consumed over three hours. Tremendous Cerretta. Looks like ox blood in the glass...incredible visual with zero signs of age. Intoxicating aromas of kirsch, pie crust, tar, fresh roses, and tiramisu. On the palate it was all kirsch and sous bois supported by a mountain of tannins still, 12 years in. Beautiful acidity and the finish sits with you for well over half a minute. It was still going strong by the time we reached the bottom of the bottle. This wine will last for decades to come and I have expectations for it to start showing its best closer to 2025. Drink with patience or hold. — 8 years ago
Good nerello with minimal oak. Needs lots of time to show itself, oddly, then iron and the volcanic minerals show. Definitely lighter than most which I appreciate. — 8 years ago
Best wine that I have had in a long while. This is the 2007 vintage. It has everything gorgeous aromatics, beautiful color, incredible length. So complex. 9.8 for me but your mileage may vary — 8 years ago
2006 vintage. La Serra. 3 hours of decanting - the wine needed a lot of air to open up. Medium garnet, edging on tawny, hue. With air, the wine has a wonderful pot pouri, aniseed, violet and bitumen aroma. Red cherry dominant. Complex. Can smell this wine for hours. Developing nicely. On the palate, not as good as the nose. Medium plus chewy tannins, medium acidity, high alcohol, medium plus body and long, but slightly drying finish. My advice here is probably to open 5 hours before serving as it was clear that the wine was becoming more complex and interesting the longer the night wore on, whereas on opening I thought the wine was poor or even faulty. — 9 years ago
This was a real gem. Powerful wine. I wish I had opened 6 hrs before dinner. Went well though with my spicy shrimp stir-fry — 10 years ago
Fruity and delicious. I love it! ❤️ #chefsclubny — 10 years ago
Geek alert: mountain red but from an area in north never heard of-Ivrea? A combo of varietals incl I think 1% nigrette. Love this stuff-but love Carema too. Rosenthal import — 11 years ago
Popped and poured. Consumed over 90 minutes. Beautifully scented with cherries, raspberries, dried herbs, tar, and freshly bloomed magnolias on the nose. Flavors of tart cherries, black tea, and earth. I sort of expected this to come across more modern but this was actually rather charming! Tannin is well integrated. Good acid. Finish lasts for about 30 seconds. Drinking just fine right now but should hold well into the next decade. — 7 years ago
Having purchased several bottles, I wanted to give this a test run. Let it decant for two hours and indeed, she rewarded me. A huge nose of dried red flowers, violets, cranberry, cherry, a hint of earth and tar. Drinking fairly well now but she needs to lay for a few years to fully reward you. Carema is a wonderful region for Nebbiolo! — 8 years ago
This is a great tasting Moscato for the price. Love the fact that I can get it at my local grocery store. — 8 years ago
Got this in Bayer wine cellar for 27€. Nose of beautiful terroir, dried fruits, berries, gentle touch of minerals. Fine body, not over dry, soft tannins finish. I rate this high for quality and price. Wish to find this in US. — 8 years ago
I really like this wine for the price. Very nice. — 9 years ago
Very nice blend. I would get this again. Thanks Auntie Donya! — 9 years ago
Surprisingly lovely paired with a vinegary borscht. Had a week ago and saved the label, because I must try again and take notes. — 10 years ago
Woah!! Hold up. Briny, sweaty, leesy, metallic, concrete laden, pure grape juice. I have to apologize to the Bay Area for drinking 50% of the only sample bottle I got of this lovely Trebbiano. Zero additive, niente chimica, senza solfiti, funky, natty, super delicious wine -day three showing strong- no VA no EA, same oxidative nose as when it was uncorked, which was fresh as lemon rainwater on hot concrete. I want to drink much more from this producer, and I am not biased, even though I am fortunate enough to sell it in Cali! The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is out of this world, truly one of the most unique I've ever tasted. If you see it, don't hesitate to expand your mind and liver on it. — 10 years ago
I wish I had a better photo of this because I can't read the label! Wine was really yummy though. Fruity citrus taste. — 11 years ago

I love this wine. Leather, soil, cocoa, prune, touch of smoke, black tea, some cherry and cranberry, full of Nebbiolo tar & dried roses. Silky but with lush tannins. From Moore Bros. in Industry City. — 6 years ago
