Rather masculine with herbal quality that reminded me of old chartreuse, while being perfectly balanced and very long. Amazing wine. Layers of complexity. Tasted next to 1990 La Tache which was the feminine counterpart - and better QPR, which is a silly concept at this level.... — 9 years ago

Love the acid and style of this wine. Didn't quite stand up against the richer wines in this flight, but again it's is own animal. Lots of carbonic character. Day two it lost that primary effervescence and showed much more weight on the palate. Definitely the outlier in the group. Would like to see this with at least 5 years of age. — 10 years ago
