Very smooth, perfect with desert — a year ago
This is Penfolds best expression for Pinot Noir being made from fruit sourced in the Adelaide Hills, Henty and Tasmania. Just had a glass with the entree. Mid crimson in colour with a tawny brown rim. Aromas and flavours in the stewed red fruit spectrum. Soft tannins - drinking well now. — 3 years ago

See previous note from October 2019. As mentioned this garnered 98 points from prestigious UK Wine magazine, Decanter and only cost $24. Excusing the child like label, the contents are very good from a region in Henty/Drumborg better known for their superb Rieslings. Aromas of Carbonic Maceration - confectionery which developed into a dried cherry component and with time rose petals. A lovely savoury driven light to medium weight palate married nicely with the oak. — 3 years ago
Everything in its right place. Slightly overt stem use to balance fruit volume and ripeness. Finish lacks a little drive and persistence for more but it’s a pretty good drink (especially slightly chilled on a balmy Port Douglas night). 🍷👍🏼 — 5 years ago
