Another Wednesday Wine Committee for the books, this one in honor of a former WWC member, with the wines donates from his cellar by his family. A wonderful tribute. Wines tasted blind as usual.
Hello gorgeous! Hard not to call this Bordeaux from a reputable producer. I called it early ‘80s. Tart cherry, a streak of green/vegetal notes down the middle but it wasn’t detracting at all. Herbs and underripe black fruit finish. This powered through 2hours in the glass easily. Beautiful. — 7 years ago

Hello wine lovers! GLED IN på Hansa 14:37 och bara högg den. Jag tänker mörka bär, konjak, viss fatkaraktär, choklad, lite gillestuga. Krämigt, runt och förföriskt i gommen men precis lagom med tanniner. Prisvärt! 👌🏽🍷 — 9 years ago
It has the level of tannins I compare with a cat's tongue. Rough and charming in one fell swoop. With enough ripe dark fruit and medium acid to make you fall in the kitty's embrace. IF you like it is kitty licks you. I really like this one. Good pick if at Osteria Mozza! — 10 years ago
Hello lover. Chenin forever!! Spring in a bottle. Green, fresh. Bright. Perfectly ripe pear and yellow apple. Drank 3/4 of the bottle solo one night while watching MAR on IGLive and, well, it’s 13.5ABV so that was a woops evening. 🤪 — 6 years ago
Hello my friend! 🍷😊
Duckhorn Three Palms Vineyards.
A merlot for Cab drinkers. An intense, age-worthy wine with complex red fruit and mineral layers. This fine wine draws you in with every succulent sip, each one becoming more intense than the last, creating a choreographed, symphonic, moving experience, involving & evolving through the full range of human emotions. 😮 We need more like you in this world my friend.

Hello old friend. Totally forgot about this one in storage. Doing this annual spring cleaning and opening all of those bottles that should have been popped a long time ago. Still kicking. Settled into a deep dark soft place. No mistaking this for old burg and probably would have been better a few years ago but put a smile on my face. — 9 years ago
My first Mansois, aka Fer Servadou from the tiny VDQS north of Toulouse (161 hectares /400 acres). Raspberry, brambly aromas follow through to the palate which is a bright hello that mellows softly. — 10 years ago
Hello...Baseball glove leather, graphite and some good old BDX funk. Great fruit and structure... Some band-aid showing up after a while. For those like me who like some overt classic BDX flavors this was heaven. Then the 89 Lynch showed up and had to empty the glass. Makes the 90 best for washing glasses. — 10 years ago

Hello Tannis!! Orange hue on the rim, Garnett in the center, high viscosity, wine tears confirmed this was high ABV. I got flowers quickly followed by spices, coffee, wet forest floor and tar on the nose. On the palate, the tannins hit massively and high acidity leave you salivating. This bottle could easily see another 10 yrs. Wish I could get the perfume a tad bit more..would have been so amazing! Nonetheless, this was a serious and complex wine. — 6 years ago
