Drinking very well right now. Honeysuckle, lemon curd, pear-caramel. — 12 years ago
Carrying the distinct flavour of ripe summer fruits and honeydew melon, this wine is aptly named. Supported with secondary flavours of honeydew melon, toffee and pie crust, the wine is simply irresistible. Unlike the 2014, the oak treatment is quite restrained, with only subtle woody notes, and a divine malolactic creaminess left on the palate. The mouthfeel is quite luxurious, although I would have liked to see a little more acidity in the wine. A sublime chardonnay. — 9 years ago
This was a great Chard. Tasted very fresh, good acidity and balance. Had a touch of wet stone with toasty brioche. — 9 years ago
One of my favourite hunter Shiraz's. A real exemplar of the regional style. Complex plumb fruit and spice on the palate, with a delightful smoky earthy background. Beautifully integrated tannins and oak and great length of finish. Just when you think you're finished the flavours keep pushing on. Almost a vintage port flavour to the final push. — 9 years ago
Really like this wine. Bigger than I expected but the flavors were outstanding. Clear cherry and plum flavors with a nice backbone and dry finish. — 10 years ago
Held onto this 2010 at the winemakers suggestion. Excellent wine once it opens up! Rich tropical nose of dried pineapple mouth is tart and suggestive of unripe stone fruit, slight tannic finish that lingered for minutes! Well done @William Allen! — 10 years ago

Tried 2 different vintages in a row, last night after a long day of clean up from water heater bursting and flood. Sunday night 2012 Roar Chard reminded me of Kistler style of Chard, in fined unfiltered, full body great fruit wonderfully balanced.. Like Kistler sentiment at bottom. Now tonight with trash half way down the street the 2011 Roar Sierra Mar Vineyard is rich as Chards get. Great fruit with nice mouth feel no sentiment , refreshing tropical fruits with just a touch of oak.. Boy is this good!! Having aged this a whole 1 year really gives this rich chard backbone and Grace!! Delicious!! Thank Everyone on Roar Vineyards for this Awesome Chard.. Charlie Beatty WineWorks Marlton — 11 years ago

William Allen is a Grenache Blanc master and his tribute to the late Saralee Kunde is beautiful. The calls of Chablis-like are true! Mouth watering acidity with minerals, citrusy lemon, and green apple skins. Some wild flowers on the finish. — 9 years ago
