Professional scores have it as high as 97 and the purity of fruit along with the deft use of french oak and balanced acidity are certainly deserving. A beautiful, soft nose with notes of plum, blackberries, black raspberries, kirsch and a touch of wild flowers. The palate is surprisingly light and elegant with bright acidity. Flavors of black raspberries, kirsch and a touch of soy lead to notes of oak and spice. The finish is long and elegant with lingering acidity and bramble fruits. — 8 years ago

Out of 3 Liter. A favorite vineyard from HC for me. While the 07 I am partial to, I feel this was showing well tonight and was ready Straight away. Big red juicy fruit, silky mid palate. 777 clone showing its flashy side. Long and lingering, with firm tannins to finish. The only downer is it shows a little minty on the gums...
