Great all around wine for a night munching at the bar, chatting! — 9 years ago
A little harder because it was with food (paired great with the grilled chicken, Cesar salad, and artichoke) and chocolate (another good pairing). Oaky on the nose and palate, but in a good way. Cherry. — 10 years ago
Buttered raisin flavor. — 11 years ago
Fantastic pinot from Maggie Harrison at Antica Terra in Oregon. Bright cherries on the nose and subtle, earthy notes on the palate. Incredible balance. Can be drunk now or laid down for several years. Awesome effort from one of the best wineries in the Willamette Valley. — 11 years ago

Drinking well. Dark fruit, tannins softening. Long dusty finish — 10 years ago
I had this in honor of one of my favorite writers, Jim Harrison, who passed a few weeks back. He loved this wine and I haven't had it enough to love it. However, this time was a real eye-opener. Super funky nose upon opening, like leather and barnyard. But it opened up, and the first sip had a lot more black fruits with just that underlying funk. Turned out two hours in a decanter did this wine some justice. Complex and enjoyable, stood up to a porterhouse, enough fruit to make it immediately satisfying but with so much more going on. Tannins relatively light. — 10 years ago
Sorry couldn't remember all the notes. But remembered it was pretty darn good. — 11 years ago

Needs 3 years in bottle. Double decanted and was a nice dusty blackberry front, a little darker and floral in the middle. Finish is also quite floral, still rather acidic and lots of stiff oak tannin. Dusty and shale stone rich finish. Enjoyable classic Rutherford cab that doesn't try to be something it isn't. GREAT family owned boutique winery off the Silverado Trail. — 9 years ago
