Beautiful wine. Wonderful couple making the wine. Worth every penny and then some. — 7 years ago
Full body, oaky. Great with dinner. Drank on the World in Nanaimo harbour — 8 years ago
1994 vintage. On a sailing boat in Sydney Harbour not with the proper glassware. On the nose, fresh black fruits, gentle spices and leather notes. More savoury than sweet. Not obviously a 20+ year old wine. On the palate, mild alcohol and body, good concentration of flavours and soft but noticeable tannins. Elegance with a touch of umph. Very Hill of Grace. The finish was good, but not quite as long as some other vintages I have recently had. This wine was certainly not fully mature. Could age for another 15 years I suspect. Very good. — 8 years ago
2011. Brought back fond memories of hours spent at a restaurant in Vernazza harbour. — 9 years ago
what a riesling statement!
super elegant, not baroque, crisp and focused - and if blind presented you know in the second it's an "achleiten": the wine stinks a bit of harbour breeze, saline air, broken mussels and seaweed, fuel gas. ...and stone fruit.
fantastic!

Now there’s the Harbour Bridge in the background. Bottle #2 and was also immediately decanted though I don’t believe it necessary. There’s definitely terroir here with a spiciness not seen in Cali Cabernet. Pop and pour delicious nonetheless. Day 1 Down Under in the books! Cheers! 🍷 — 7 years ago

Amazing. Complex entry, medium to soft middle and the most amazing lemon, citrus and curd end. Almost like a delightful lemon chiffone or key lime. — 9 years ago

With views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera house out the window, we had to go local tonight. This was immediately decanted and needed it. Wound up to start, it improved steadily in the glass and subsequent pours, delivering spice, red berries and very fine grain tannins through the finish. Very solid. — 7 years ago
