Continuing our way through Hall's line-up. This was my father-in-law's pick to go along steaks and it was delicious. More bright and red fruit dominant than most Hall cabs (this is 100% cab). Black cherry and violet on the nose. Front palate gives way to a gigantic mid palate and finish full of dusty traits, cherries, blackberries and raspberries. Hall is always so consistent in their wines. Worthy of a club membership. Happy Father's Day! — 7 years ago

A great offering from Patz, sourced from several fine vineyards, including Gap’s Crown, just to name one. Vivid Ruby with focused fruit aromas adding in spice and earthy notes. The palate shows a blast of fruit, cherry, cranberry, raspberry and touches of dark berries. Cinnamon spice weaves through the well structured zesty wine while noting the presence of developing tannins. The finish has great length and should keep nicely for up to 10 years. — 8 years ago

Big fan of the entire Patz & Hall portfolio this Chardonnay is a good example why...starts with toasted hazelnut and wasabi on the nose. Well integrated acidity and oak. Soft, supple mouthfeel flashing flavors of honeysuckle, pear and ginger. Finish with lime, touch of oak and vanilla bean. — 8 years ago
