Splendid. Robardelle is parceled in village and premier levels and this one kinda rare was very good — 7 years ago
Röda äpplen, honung, nougat, mogna citroner, kex och vissa gräsiga/örtiga undertoner. Tydliga snäckskal och fin mineralitet. Öppnar knastrigt i texturen men övergår snabbt åt klunkvänliga håller. Stora glas för denna! — 7 years ago
Nose is a little toasty oak, blueberry juice, and blackberry.
Palate has oak-like cherry but very restrained on woody aspects, mid-season supermarket cherry, ripe plum, red raspberry, blackberry, TBD mineral, perfect acid levels!
I want to drink everything I have at this level, decanted for over one hour and this is absolutely perfect, nothing in the way of enjoyment. Pierrick Bouley is genius.
24hr Update: Nice giant (size-wise, not overpowering, the large sized berries have a more subtle flavor) blueberry flavor. Oak is more noticeable today, but not obtrusive to the red/blue fruits, a gentle compliment, perfect today. — 7 years ago

Already developed nose, slightly warm touch.
Medium weight, round palate, Good length with more than a bit barnyard , dusty notes — 10 years ago
Pretty nose but electrifying acid and grip. Perfect husband and wife dance party wine. — 10 years ago
Real depth. Drinking well now. — 11 years ago
Portland dinner with Ali. 2005 burgundy. Amazing. — 13 years ago
Just a joyous wine made from ridiculously low yields that has wonderful depth. Crazy depth for its category. Wow. What it lacks in finesse it makes up for in palate impact. Nose is cherry and leafy, palate is concentrated, high toned cherry, sour cherry, mid season cherry and black cherry and super sap and freshness. Tiny berry fruit intensity. Wow. — 6 years ago
Insanity on the nose. Just bonkers. Sickness. Huge spice. Huge I mean huge spice. Also super mineral and very pure. Confectionary cotton candy like aromas and tree bark. Also tea. Maybe hoisin as well. Mindblowing. Big palate and immense power but incredibly elegant. It has Grand Cru grip and intensity and it is considered the best wine at the estate. Better than Clos des Chenes. It is insanely powerful and stacked to the brim with bright fruit and mineral that has sap, and really stains the palate. I think in 2 hours this will be insane. It’s changing every minute. What a wine. — 7 years ago
Solid addition as recommended by Vin. Would buy again. Random Saturday night byob Thai up off broadway and Hollywood. Good food. Better husband. Always nice to have a good one around when things go sideways... both the husband and the rosé. — 7 years ago
Terrific, following 2 great champagnes a tough act to follow, but it did it. — 8 years ago
This was paired with Chef's Bouley Doctor Series gluten free dinner. This Sancerre was bright, sweet and delicious. — 9 years ago
Great balance and aromatic nose. Wonderful Burgundy!! Great red cherry and red current flavors. Fantastic mineral notes. Fabulous wine! Worth the slight splurge from everyday wines. 2009 Vintage — 10 years ago
Had this first at Bouley, and continue to love it! — 11 years ago
Earth, licorice, and really nice acid. Drinks way above the $15 price tag! — 12 years ago
Dinner Cindy Roy Jane crew 5/9/19 at Andiamo. Terrific Volnay. Earth and minerals and red fruit with balanced and complex palate and long finish. Good structure and weight yet lively on feet. Roys fav. — 6 years ago
Chill it A bit and enjoy with basically anything. A great find and far better than ratings indicate. — 7 years ago
This is insanely great. In warm vintages I find Volnay and Pommard always delivery. 03/05/09/15. More warm vintages to come! Beautiful nose of tea leaf, earthy loamy minerality, gorgeous deep red cherry fruit that is almost exotic with a hint of licorice. Amazing fruit on this nose. But also really complex. Stunning. Fresh, elegant and beautifully balanced with ripe fruit but also cleansing acidity, some grippy tannin and big time depth. Amazingly fine tannins as it airs out. Like velvet. Stunning. I can’t believe how great this is. Will last 20 more years. — 7 years ago
Crisp apple, great white, Bouley test kitchen 3/31/18 with the fam — 8 years ago
Beautiful Pinot, berries, lush. Opened up slowly, able to enjoy the flavour as it came to life. Probably could hold for another couple of years. — 8 years ago
Gorgeous Volnay here. Deep, florals and Chinese herbs, anise, forest fruits. Yet such fine tannin and bright acid. Long finish. Beautiful — 9 years ago
@Lyle Fass still very good but I think Murat caught up post 2010 vintage. — 10 years ago
