Old Vines Grignolino from heart of Monferatto - tough vintage so saw a little more oak than normal, but led to an incredibly balanced wine with sour cherry and forest floor as the wine opened. Everyone should drink more Grignolino. — 6 years ago

Really interesting remember having this variety when Heitz Vineyard used to produce one of the few domestic producer - but this one from Asti is really interesting (reminds me of Pineau d’Aunis from the Loire ) beautiful rose petal nice cherry candied fruit in the mouth with some grip ( it is 2018 vintage) very light color (almost rose) — 5 years ago
