If you can find this wine you should definitely give it a try. It needs at least 10 years to really open up. Preferably longer. — 9 years ago

Greenock Creek

Alices Late Harvested Shiraz 2006

High alcohol(17%) but you don't notice it.
Very smooth. Tannins are soft. Loads of dark fruit.

Greenock Creek

Roennfeldt Road Shiraz 2009

Kirsch, spice, cedar, vanilla on the nose. Palate shows concentrated kirsch and underripe blackberry with cedar and eucalyptus/sage. A revisit of the vanilla and caramel. I think this would be better in another 3-5 years. — 9 years ago

Greenock Creek

Cornerstone Grenache 2006

Whoa...how'd they do that? Stupid high alcohol (18.5%?!!!) and though somewhat Port-like, this is not hot, nor is it cloying. In fact, there's this incredible acidic zip on the finish that so surprises. Fascinating. — 11 years ago

Ballycroft Vineyard and Cellars

Small Berry Greenock Shiraz 2010

If you have not had Ballycroft wines before you don't know what you are missing out. This Small Berry American Oak Shiraz is an absolute ripper, balanced, focused, stacked with flavor. All in all a superbly rounded wine that will reward with age. — 11 years ago
