Tart cherries, stewed fruits, oak, baking spices. Medium plus body and teetering on high acid. Medium tanins and medium plus finish. — 6 years ago
Enjoyed it more the next day. Nice oak and tannins. — 7 years ago
Very enjoyable. Had it with a grilled skirt steak. Lots of fruit- cherry, perhaps some strawberry. Mellow tannins. Nice on its own. Slight bitterness on the finish, which doesn’t detract from it at all. — a year ago
Complex nose shows ash pit, orchid, a cigar-box/roasted asparagus amalgam, olive, and cured beef. There’s also some oozy berry fruit. So soft on the palate. A lighter style, with completely resolved tannins and really nice acids. Not a blockbuster but very elegant. Drink now. — 2 years ago

On the nose, ripe; blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, pepper, spice, leather, tobacco, dry herbs, smoked meats, mushroom, black licorice & fresh purple florals. Fruits on the palate; blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries and cherries bring up the rear. Black licorice, cigar, pepper, spice, leather, tobacco, dry herbs & dry stones. The tannins are M+ with a M body. There is very nice, structure, length and balance. Definitely has some cellaring ability. The finish is long & rich...50% fruit, 30% spice and 20% earth. This is delicious and extraordinarily well-preserved. Earthy and a little feral, still with sappy, juicy, kirschy, rhubarby fruit present. There’s the classic Yakima ashy fire pit scents as well (thank you Mt. St. Helens!). So velvety in the mouth, with meaty, savory, and still vaguely berryish flavors. A treat! — 2 years ago
Have had lucky with Rosé lately, and this continues the streak.
Raspberry, pink grapefruit, strawberry, apricot, melon…. Fruit galore! Chalky minerals and light herbs as well. Very structured on the palate with good texture, racy acidity, and hint of tannins.
50% Cinsault, 26% Grenache and 24% Syrah from dedicated blocks of the vineyard. — 3 years ago
