This is nothing to write home about, but it's pretty solid for about $12. To my untrained palate, there are two kinds of not so great red wines: the ones that are over-oaked and have a bitter, astringent finish and the ones that are a little too light and the nose is a little too faint. The former isn't worth drinking. This is definitely the latter. There's nothing objectionable, but it's also not likely to be your first choice unless it's a Tuesday and you're the only one having a glass worth dinner. — 9 years ago

Amazing. It's fruity, but I've felt only a sweet, ripe plum. But the best is the rest: spicy aromas with leather and smoke like from smokehouse. I simply love it! — 6 years ago
Super pretty. Clean, elegant. Very agreeable. — 9 years ago
On the way out now but lovely aromatics, elegant midpalate, and beautiful green robe even at 9 years. — 10 years ago
2018 vintage. Co-owned by Stephan von Neipperg (La Mondotte and Canon La Gaffelière in Saint-Emilion). A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. Very attractive nose with black cherries, blackberries and strawberry marmelade, mixed with smokey oak and Provence herbs. Medium to full-bodied, with concentrated black fruit, smooth tannin and great spicy length. Super sexy hedonistic Bordeaux. Amazing value too. Highly recommended. — 4 years ago
Drank 1/18/19 at the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux event in Miami. All wines from the 2016 Vintage.
Tasting pour, no formal notes taken. Most of these wines are very tight, and will require 5-15 years to really come together. Many will likely improve a few points with time.
Loads of red and black fruit with all the complexity you would expect. A close runner up for Right Bank WOTN for me. Always a favorite.
Count Stephan von Neipperg was pouring wine from his estate, and was happy to chat about the current vintage and other wines in his portfolio. A true gentleman. — 7 years ago

Dark ruby with near black core. Abundant nose of cassis and black plum. Medium full palate yields black plum, tarry black cherry, and a hint of graphite. Fine (medium) tannins and juicy medium plus acidity. A nice step up from the "everyday" Bordeaux from the Comptes von Neipperg portfolio. Take it out or drink it in with beef stew, roast tenderloin, root vegetables, and other semi-rustic fare. Drink now through 2026. — 4 years ago
