This Australian Cab is a full varietal wine from Victoria’s Goulburn Valley. The wine aged between six and 12 months in French oak barriques, with alcohol sitting at 14.5% abv.
The wine is extremely dark, black, with no light coming through it. The nose offers blackberry fruit aromas and earthy minerals, with a slight eucalyptus note coming through behind it all. The palate has a minty sense as well, but that dark fruit and extreme earthness steal the show. The herbal aspect rises again on the finish to cap a delightfully different Cab experience. — 7 years ago
Deliciously refreshing yet savory. Lighter on its feet than the blend would suggest. Very pretty. — 8 years ago

Really rather pleasant. Wasn't looking for much in this, but it brought a lot more to the table than I was expecting. — 9 years ago
For a budget cab sauv (coming in at just over $10) this drop is a world beater! Subtle oak undertones are counter balanced by rich dark berries. Perhaps the most remarkable factor of this vintage is the balance and tannin length. Super value. — 10 years ago
This however is a very elegant wine. Very well made. Subtle. Delicate. — 11 years ago
I'm loving Victorian shiraz these days! Medium bodied, earthy and really well balanced! Mouthfeel is terrific, so much more interesting than your typical Barossa/McLaren vale shiraz.
But also not too challenging.
Great value. — 7 years ago
Absolutely so smooth from the first sip. Left bottle open for a couple days after first glass and was divine. No harshness even after first open, slightly sweet with a bit of dryness. Overall fantastic taste. — 8 years ago

Yummy. heavy, spicy, and slightly sweet. — 8 years ago
This is a fantastic Shiraz from Heathcote in Victoria Australia. A medium bodied and balance Shiraz. Not the Barossa Valley fruit punch, more a lighter earthy taste but with nice hints of fruit. — 9 years ago
This is very easy to drink! I opened the bottle for a casserole dish. It was a steal at $9 bargain bin at Dan Murphy's! I'll be keeping an eye out. The Cab Shriaz from this winery is very nice as well. — 9 years ago
Quite quaffable, earthy, smokey and lively with good fruit and a light juicy roundness to it. — 9 years ago

A lovely wine clearly worthy of the flagship status it holds. Beautifully balanced with rich and refined tannin, stewed dark fruit on the palate and a mellowed French oak finish. — 11 years ago
