Christmas Day wine 🎄🎅🏼🍷
Acquired this for two reasons: Flora Springs was my “a-ha” wine 10yrs ago which started my wine journey, and secondly because it’s my sister-in-law’s birth year.
Enjoyed on Christmas Day (with said sister-in-law) and family (the family who introduced me to wine + Flora Springs). Kept the bottle standing for a few days. In the glass, there was bricking but the color was much more vibrant than expected. Aromatically, it showed mushroom and fig, but a good bit of muddled red and black berry fruit, some mint as well. Alive, elegant and bright on the palate with good tannin structure (held strong the two hours it was open). Small hint of tobacco at the finish, but the berry fruit stayed persistent keeping the flavors balanced. Undeniably older Napa (13%) and in great shape. — 9 months ago
This is a delicious white blend from Napa Valley.
Medium plus in body and creamy.
Dry on the palate with medium plus acidity.
Showing green apples, grapefruits, gooseberries, light vegetables, herbs, minerals and white pepper.
Long tangy finish with limes and almonds.
Elegant and well balanced. Crisp, refreshing and easy drinking. An Interesting wine.
Good by itself or with food. A good sipping wine that I had by the lake. Paired nicely with Brie cheese.
A blend of 73% Sauvignon Blanc, 12% Chardonnay and 13% Malvasia. Aged for 7 months in used French oak barrels. A small production of 600 cases.
14.2% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

64% CS, 28% ME, & 8% CF. No Malbec as listed in the description. I’ve had this for awhile. Didn’t like the first bottle so I avoided trying again. When I did try again I was surprised how much it improved with some age. — 5 years ago
Very silky with nice honeysuckle notes. Balanced. Some pineapple finish — 7 years ago
Oops... Opened this in error, thinking it was $18.99. it isn't. 2018 absolutely delicious Rosē. Was perfect with Toblerone. — 4 months ago

Not familiar prior to tonight (1.29.22) — 4 years ago
Nice light lemon color and citrus/lemon notes on the nose. Tons of tiny active bubbles. A bit clunky, but vibrant balanced mid-palate. Weightier than anticipated, but lots going on... pear, ripe apple, Meyer lemon and a touch of toasty fresh baked bread. Lacking the weightlessness and elegance of France, nonetheless a fun companion with King Crab Legs on an early Spring evening. — 5 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Pale lemon with aromas of stone and tropical fruits with citrus and floral notes. On the palate fresh fruit flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, apple and melon with lemon citrus wrapped in lively acidity, medium length ending with fruit and lemon citrus texture. — 4 months ago
