Earlier days, but rather nice. Delicate and pretty with great structure. Good first glimpse at the 13s. — 11 years ago
I remember 1st time reading the wine note , I 'm confused by all these words such as linden flower ,gooseberry,genet,locust.... Growing up in Asia,I am not familiar with so many fruits or woods I 've never seen in supermarket, I thought a wine note should be able to reduce the complexity of the tasting of wine , not the other way around. I could not find a way to resolve this till I meet this wine. When I taste cask23 , after a sip of of FAY, another sip of S.L.V and sips of some white, I felt like finally I meet the goddess. If FAY is a fair lady, SLV is a leaping stag or elf, Cask 23 is the godness. I could not find a other word to describe this wine characteristics overall , not by naming it after fruits, the complexity, elegancy, as well as amazing glimpse, everything makes her a prefect lady. A real goddess beats Old world wine in 1976 XD💪💃💃🎈👍😄 — 11 years ago
Brooding beast. Cherry cola and dark fruit on the front, fleeting acidity on the back with just a brief glimpse of tannin, but plenty of alcohol and body. — 10 years ago
Amazingly brilliant the 1969 Krug Cabernet Sauvignon gives you a glimpse of what CA wines were all about. Grippy acid still leaves the wine with structure and an amazing balance and a long finish makes this a compelling drink! — 10 years ago
A glimpse of the future. Not close to peak. — 11 years ago
2012 Vintage - Peppery, very dark, gnarly, smoky, black cherry, black currant, , glimpse of leather and game. Long finish. Very nice. Could age 3-5 years. Classic Mourvedre/Monastrell profile. Fantastic for Under $20 — 11 years ago
Mmm... The 2011 proves it all the more worthwhile -thank you Drouhin family! Yours is a marvelous glimpse into true terroir through elegant restraint. — 12 years ago
Color me a proud mother. You know what, don't color me at all. Was relieved this showed no signs of premox. A subtle wine that afforded glances of elements followed by a glimpse of the whole. Toasted oak was a nice, subtle frame, and a layer of tropicality emerged as a nice feature. Racy and almost stingy at first, with increasing length as the hours passed. In an adolescent stage but with great bones. — 12 years ago

Opened way too young, despite the vintage this has years ahead of it. Not sure what I was thinking. Last glass was just giving a glimpse of what this might become. Rich red fruit, earth and very beguiling. Wish I'd kept it hidden though. The '09. — 10 years ago
at first glimpse it is german riesling, loads of exotic fruit and stones.
but it was the first time i reckoned a certain sauternes touch in a non-sauternes wine, my nose impression still rang the sauternes bell even after the product got discovered.
gorgeous, well balanced wine! — 10 years ago
Gets better every time I try it. — 11 years ago

Uber ripe with some developed flavors, but as unicorns go I'd rather catch a glimpse of this one then try and capture another — 11 years ago
Just beautiful. Bright fruit, seamless tannin, and a glimpse of the earth it was raised in. With lovely, restrained character, and refreshing acidity- in a town of big fat plush Cabernets, this has finesse and class. Can't wait to see how it evolves! — 12 years ago
