Pale gold, tropical fruit, lemony papaya on the nose, dry, good acidity with fulsome bright citrus fruit notes. Good to taste an older Sauvignon. — 10 years ago
From 375ml bottle. Noticeable botrytis notes on the nose, paraffin aromas, together with apricot and honey. The palate like apricot marmalade with a skinnsy bitterness and refreshing acid finish. Not overly sweet - somewhere between a Spatlese and an Auslese. In summary Very Good. Postscript: This is from Gladstone in the Martinborough District in the North Island. — 3 years ago

The wine I opened is the 2021 Paddy Borthwick Sauvignon Blanc from Wairarapa, Gladstone New Zealand.
On the nose there is grapefruit, lime, white peach, mango, grass, herbal notes, minerality and a bit of flint.
On the palate there is grapefruit, lime, white peach, herbaceous and minerality.
This is a beautiful well rounded medium bodied wine with a clean fresh mouthfeel medium + mouthwatering acidity that leaves you with a long citrus mineral finish. Enjoy your wines this weekend and be sure to try something different. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 2 years ago
