Very solid. Pairs with lamb / fatty dishes. Fruity and spicy. — 4 years ago
I'm most familiar with the stellar reds from Juan Gil, and this white blend was a not-so-surprising treat. Peach and violet and citrus dance around with minerals structure and a vibrant mouthfeel. Sorry for the winespeak; it's refreshing and delicious. Nuff said! — 5 years ago

One of my favorite in low prices wines. — 6 years ago
Fantastic! Expressive in the nose, with dark cherries, plums and toffee notes. Good body, sweet tannins, length. Watch for his wines, truly tremendous — 2 years ago
Staff selection Surdyks (Roger Clark): “Grown in southern Spain’s Jumilla region, Muscatel produces wonderful dry wines. Shows typical fruit and floral aromas. Fruit is certainly at the forefront of the flavors, but the lightly spicy notes accent the fresh, dry finish. This would be excellent with savory chicken or pork dishes.” — 3 years ago
Fuck elegance. A bottle filled with sugar will do nicely. @Anthony De Blasi — 5 years ago

Began 1916, when Juan Gil Giménez, great-grandfather of the present generation, built a winery in heart of Jumilla. Blue label spent 18 months in new French and American oak barrels. Monastrell, Cab Sauv & Syrah blend (60/30/10), low yield, aromas of red berry and toasty oak. Palate shows flavors of dark berry fruits, espresso, cacao and hints of sweet spice. Round dusty tannins, well integrated with oak, medium+ finish ending with fruit and rich earthy oaky character. — 2 years ago
Taste of cherry and dark berries. A toasty taste on the finish. — 3 years ago
Sweet but not too sweet — 5 years ago
Brilliant value for money, fruit forward, good acidity and lovely rounded tennis, cracking glass of wine — 6 years ago
A Monastrell from Jumilla which I always enjoy. 18 months in oak. Very hot and dry aromas in the nose, sour red fruits, Black Forest berries, handful of nuts, jam. Very nice acidity and tannins, could still wait couple of years and age beautifully — 6 years ago
