my comment was more for the taste than smell but cherry brandy pretty much sums it up ~ but now I'm going to have to try some and pay more attention to the smell vs taste of it!

Any tasting notes Michael? I've wondered how some of the second and third tier southern Rhones hold up over time
It was good. Still all alive and showing a sense of place. The perfect storage made it special. I don't feel it was special on its own.
