Still young and red fruit forward- would still leave for another 5 years for more tertiary development. Small amount of tabbaco and forest floor on mid-palate..integrates tannins. Want nicely with a good hanger steak. — 6 years ago
A bit fruitier and lighter than the Geyserville for me. Goes down easy! — 6 years ago
Made an impromptu stop at Stonestreet the last time we were in Napa/Sonoma. Had a little unexpected time between tastings. Man it was sure HOT when we were there in September. I remember the estate was in great condition. Beautiful scenery and some of the views from eastern Healdsburg and Geyserville are hard to beat. It was about 95 degrees AT THE WINERY in the middle of a Napa heat wave. This wine hit the spot. A nice, crisp, lighter bodied wine with a crisp side to it, yet didn't feel as though your tongue was burning. Edges on this one were rounded even from the start. More of a lemon curd, but also some lime and honeysuckle. Middle had good weight, a little silkier than I had anticipated. The finish is lighter, mostly lemon and lime. Not a powerhouse, but was really nice on that 95 degree September "summer" day in Healdsburg, and pretty darn good tonight. — 7 years ago
Jam, jam, jam! This is he best ridge essence I've ever had. Last vintage was 2007. Amazing Jame doers, low alcohol and well balanced. — 9 years ago

This wine is awesome. Dense. The fruit is so deep, dark and layered. north of the Lytton estate, on the western edge of the Alexander Valley in Geyserville. All of this Carignane was planted between 1920-1950’s. Really good wine that has a long life in front of it. — 6 years ago
Fruit bomb. Lots of fruit — 6 years ago
Tasted at the new Geyserville tasting room. What a beautiful setting. The new silver oaks are really terrific wines. I particularly liked this 2014 Alexander valley. It was so true to its Cabernet roots and should glide effortlessly in the cellar for many many years — 7 years ago
Beautiful red fruit on the front. Lovely dark on the mid palate. Exquisite finish. — 9 years ago
Excellent, full body wine at reasonable price — 9 years ago
1896 vines. Deep red blackberry flavor. Just south of Geyserville in Alexander Valley — 4 years ago
This wine was a knockout! Full bodied, great nose and fruit and an earthy feel. Best Carignane I’ve had. It doesn’t hurt that it’s from a historic old vine block at Lytton Springs. — 6 years ago
What a pleasant surprise! From Monte Bello to Geyserville, Ridge consistently produces classic Napa greatness. Well balanced, soft mouthfeel, Extremely smooth tannins. A beautiful ruby color, light oak, tobacco, raspberry, dark cherries, got a lot of nuttiness which was a delicious surprise. This wine has aged very well and really shows how a little aging can do wonders. — 7 years ago
Dark fruit, smoke and dark flowers. — 8 years ago
2011 Pax Grifin's Lair Syrah. At Diovola in Geyserville. Initially almost perfect. With some magical Diovola food somehow morphed into the smoothest, most wonderful 100%syrah. Thank you Punky Mahle for this most generous anniversary gift. — 10 years ago
