Rosenberg Blaufränkisch 2008

From a time when oak use was a bit more prominent here, the nose is complex but not that Blaufränkisch - oak, spice, earth and blackberries. Palate is clean, lots of fruit, silky flow, oak creaminess but with a little more of the fresh blue and black fruit and a crack of pepper. Pretty long, too. Nicely composed. — 9 years ago

Rosé Blend

AvH. Mycket bra för att vara rosé. Drack parallellt med M de Minuty till shogayaki. Pittnauer mycket godare, mer ett riktigt vin. — 10 years ago

Delectus

Sacrashe Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Paired with grilled lamb and good friends. Fantastic. Everything Gerhard touches is outstanding. — 10 years ago

Delectus

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

Another winner from Gerhard at Delectus, the 2005 is drinking really well. Probably just past peak, this still had loads of fruit as well as classic aromas typical of older CA cabs. Terrific wine from a totally underrated winery! — 9 years ago

Love love love this wine. Made by Gerhard Kraacher. Haven't had it since New York, so plsed to finally find it in CA. Orange chiffon, tiaré, which I think means frangipani, sandy sun-blasted air, and marzipan. Stellar with southern Indian food. Get some. — 10 years ago

Nope - a tiaré is a Tahitian gardenia - wine smells like frangipani too.
