Still concentrated red at the core with beautiful garnet towards the rim. The nose shows classic aged Boudots and thrives on the palate with vibrant 1990 acidity. This is at maturity, should definitely enjoy now. — 6 years ago
From split opened half hour before consumption. Earth, red fruit, and a hint of funk. Smooth tannins; searing acidity. Probably could use another five years to achieve better balance. — 7 years ago

The 2014 is excellent. Very true to Forey’s elegant and linear style. Red fruit aromas are very pure and high-toned with a bit of orange peel character on top. Lovely spice and smoky mineral character. Good cut on the entry, slightly thin mid palate but a lingering energy and subtle concentration on the finish. This is not going to grab your senses with weight or power, but delivers impact nonetheless. — 5 years ago
Subtle yet sophisticated. Reminds me of a wine one would drink at a ten course dinner. — 6 years ago

Great Burgundy 1er Cru — 11 years ago
Double decanted at Ma Cuisine. Charming from the get go. Attractive nose of sweet spices and cool red berry fruit. Quite Vosne like. Very elegant and smooth on the palate, while slight astringency gives way to NSG. Later learned that the fruit is owned by Hospice de Nuits. Even more impressive considering Hubert Lignier doesn't own the vineyards. Personally a fan of Les St George made by Lignier and Faiveley. I have go to try the Chevillon and Gouge to see how the style differs for this terroir! — 6 years ago
Ripe, powerful, complex. Brilliant ruby-garnet. Haunting flavors, tremendous grip and persistence. Fruit-forward, black cherries and kirsch framed by limestone and earth and generously toasted oak. More defined flavors will emerge in a few years, but this is a complex and vibrant wine that will coat your palate aggressively with dense fruit. — 6 years ago
Nose: classic barnyard red fruits very distinctive to Burgundy. Palate: spice confirmed red fruits slightly underripe, such a bright acidity. Good balance. Had it paired with herb rubbed pork roast and broccoli & cauliflower, Herb stuffing and cheddar mashed potatoes. Heaven — 8 years ago
Tres agréable, une belle longueur en bouche par dessous tout. — 8 years ago
