Funky nose. Dark tart cherry and something even deeper, perhaps plum. Balanced acidity and tannin. Long finish polished mouth feel. Not faded at all. Like it a lot. — 11 years ago
#KWN Wine 1. Strong tannins, a bit astringent, are Overpowering the blackberry fruit. Young. Needs cellar time. Same impression after a second tasting. I was in the distinct minority on this one. Surprising, given we are usually on the same page. Would want to retaste in 5 yrs. At least. — 9 years ago

Smooth tasting. Not a strong aftertaste. Not overly oaky. A nice blend of reds. Honestly bought it for the name, but would buy it again. — 11 years ago

Similar to the Kongsgaard, this wine that @Bill Makens brought didn't do much for the table...at first. Nose and palate were fairly one dimensional...lots of raspberries. About two to three hours later, this improved significantly. I believe this is dominant merlot, so I was a bit surprised it took so long, but it came on strong at the end. Rounded the flavor profile out with some black pepper and plums. — 9 years ago
