Don't know where to begin with this one. Black cherry, unfiltered, great fruit, and oh-so-delicious. — 8 years ago

It seems like in the Jura there is always a new treasure to be found. Especially for acidity-seekers. Francois Rousette is making topped-up wines around Château-Chalon since 2007, but it is the first time I came across them. This one is a persistant beauty with a powerful mineral backbone and razorblade acids. Liquid fossils. Wow! — 10 years ago
Jura Chardonnay with zero oxidation. Highly acidic and nervy. A molecular collision of limoncello, dried mango slices, and brewers yeast.
Pours a straw hay with specks of green and yellow which become cloudier by the glass as more yeast gets involved.
Prickly, bright, explosive.

Earth and herbs on the nose, riper fruit but very nicely balanced. — 6 years ago
The 2016 Mercurey Les Naugues 1er Cru has a superb bouquet with very precise scents of raspberry, red cherry and a touch of fennel. The palate is very well balanced with a crisp line of acidity, a little ferrous in style with ample finesse on the finish. This is an excellent Mercurey from François Raquillet. A little reductive, in such a beautiful way, great citrus intensity, no new oak character, a benchmark for the ouillé style, — 8 years ago
My first Jura wine. Glad I finally got around to trying one...
The nose is a bit like a Fino in character, with pronounced saline and mineral aromas, and there are also persimmon, apple, and lychee notes. On the palate, there is that Fino quality, but much more tart, green apple and citrus. High acid, but it is well-integrated and the wine has good overall balance. The finish is lingering with tart fruit and a chalky note. Really tasty and interesting. — 10 years ago

fun, reductive, big acids. — 5 years ago
The 2017 Petit Chablis offers impressive intensity on the nose: a light oyster shell scents percolating through the citrus fruit. The palate is well balanced with a taut line of acidity, linear in style with a brisk but focused finish. Very fine. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2018) — 7 years ago
The next big thing from Jura. Delish! — 8 years ago
Holy smokes this was outstanding. 100% Pinot Noir from Jura in this Vin de France. Herbal and savory but with this black cherry and menthol thing going on. Too much acidity could easily kill this but so well balanced. — 8 years ago
