Seemed an appropriate Christmas wine. Can’t rave enough about Kf wines. QPR is a little whack but it delivers. Way too young to open but ran it through the Venturi a few times and it showed really pretty red fruit, elegant wine. Hold for several years before trying again. — 5 years ago

Kelley’s Pinot Gris spends almost 3 weeks on the skins with foot treading once each day. You can imagine the resulting flavor explosion. Vivid straw. Mineral-tinged nectarine, tangelo and pungent flowers on the highly perfumed nose. Silky, tightly focused and energetic on the palate, offering juicy citrus and pit fruit and honeysuckle flavors complemented by suggestions of saffron and sweet butter. Drank over 6 weeks opened in my fridge and it stayed fresh throughout. Richly layered aromas and flavors of chocolates, pistachio, green grapes, and honeydew melon with floral undertones. Savory but offset by some residual sugar. Sufficiently robust for the main course. Really nice. — 7 years ago
