A full-on Rocks bouquet of leafy herbs, black pepper, black olives, sweet earth, and bloody blue fruits emerges from the 2018 Syrah SJR Vineyard, which is 100% Syrah from a notable vineyard in the Rocks region of the Walla Walla — 4 years ago

Such a fun wine from South Africa swartland. Light purple, plumy, tart, with a hint of granite terroir. Will def drinks again. Best when chilled. — 7 years ago
Really enjoyable. Somewhat juicy and oaky with medium tannins. Enjoyable with food or by itself. — 7 years ago
Notes of coffee on the nose. Typical Napa cab presentation. On the palate it’s tannic and boisterous, but it demonstrates its pedigree. Black cherries dominate the palate. My type of cab, which needs bottle age. — 8 years ago

I skipped the parvata & others this time. Went for the big guns.
A little tight on opening, not as lush as the 2015 (which was phenomenal). Comes around and should award your patience if you wait a year — 8 years ago
Outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon. Great nose. Intense, rich bark berry fruit. Well worth the wait, but would be great for many more years to come! — 8 years ago
