Recommended by a nice fellow customer who was shopping next to me at Astor Wines...delightfully nutty and oxidized style with the words "unique experience" written all over it. A few varietals that aren't found much in modern Champagne help add to its mysterious nature...more research to be done this evening! — 10 years ago
Great wine, introduced by fellow delectabler @Arthur Tildesley. More to come this week. — 11 years ago
Finally in norcal. Enjoy fellow Michiganders. — 11 years ago
Thanks so much to fellow Delectable member and Krug ambassador Garth for the excellent Krug seminar at K&L! This bottle was Krug ID 213032 and spent six years on the lees before being disgorged in spring of 2013. It is based on 2006 and composed of 11 vintages going back to 1990. The cepage is 44% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 21% Meunier. — 12 years ago
Young, but so good. fellow Piemonte fan at our house, went into our stash. — 13 years ago
This wine is fresh with dark fruit and also some pepper. It is medium body not that much tannins but are very drinkable right from the start! It deserves this high rating due to its low price.
For fellow swedes I recommend trying (at least) one bottle (nr 2861 Systembolaget). — 10 years ago
I tasted through several Corison Napa Valley Cabernets with legendary winemaker, Cathy Corison and fellow wine writers Elaine Brown and Meg Houston Maker. 2012 was the youngest vintage we sampled, as expected it's quite youthful and fresh. Saturating aromas of black cherries, steeped blackberries, violets, and incense. In the mouth the fruit is plump, as is typical of the 2012 vintage, but this element is nicely balanced. It has the structure and stuffing to age, with lovely hints of baking spice and black pepper on the finish. — 10 years ago
With all due respect, this is seriously under-rated by my fellow Delectable oenophiles. It's a Rhone, so you need to want this. It's not for everyone. Prior tasting notes still hold (cherry, meat, barnyard; smooth and supple). Barnyard perhaps a bit more prominent from last tasting. One of the best values you can buy. Stock up. — 10 years ago
so much wine at only 11% alcohol!
bit sauerkraut at the beginning (but hey, that's a common orange fellow), getting creamy, caramel, blossoms, sexy structure.
my only reservation is, that every vintage is so much different (and 11 my fav) - don't buy it without tasting it. — 11 years ago
Rich luxurious grippy tannin kept me coming back for more. Dark fruits, acidity in check, long dry finish. Perhaps not the most cab savvy in taste/smell which distracted my fellow drinker, but not me. — 11 years ago

I really like it when I get recos from fellow oenophiles which turn out to be spot on - @Jörgen Lindström Carlvik, take a bow.
In the glass, the wine appears to be very extracted, which I find is a pleasant first indicator. The wine coats the glass, demanding your attention.
The nose is pristine, yet urgent. Cigar notes, cherries and dark fruits are perfectly integrated.
On the palette, I'm in raptures. This is a seamless example which is tight, compact and dense. It has a viscous mouthfeel, finishing with polished tannins and a touch of sweetness.
This is a brilliant effort, which is begging for bottle age. Thanks to Jorgen, I've finally found a Sangiovese which does not require me to sell my house to buy a bottle (you get my point).

One of my favorite wines to play "stump the chump" with, with fellow wine nerds. Grenache Gris and Carignan Blanc whatwhat? — 10 years ago
A wine crafted at my good friend and fellow music guy - Gustavo Santaolalla - domaine in Argentina. He has such passion for making the very best ....it is quite good — 11 years ago
So much vanilla. So slick. A sneaky fellow. — 11 years ago
I adore this wine. Reticent as can be expected from young Vouvray, but surprisingly pliant. Vincent is over looked. Great fellow and wines. — 13 years ago
