In 1961 Fabrizio Bianchi, a textile manufacturer from Milan, realized his dream and purchased Castello di Monsanto and, in so doing, realized a long-held dream. Bianchi undertook the complete restoration of the vineyards and winery. A top wine on 2016 lists, Ruby with berry fruit and floral spice scents. On the palate cherry with notes of tobacco and cacao. Rich full tannins, well balanced on lingering finish. Perfect to drink now. Tasting Sample. — 8 years ago

Fabrizio Iulli Rossore a Barbera masterpiece. 21-28 days maceration and 24 months maturation in large casks. Impressive fruit concentration in high def resolution, ripe but very vibrant red fruit that is flirting some black fruit followed by herbs, high toned floral lift and a rocky savouriness. A piercing acidity is directing the palate and is balanced by the round fruit with a slight gum gripping tannic grip. Graceful walk with plenty of impact. — 6 years ago
Hey now! Aren’t you a lippy one!? Unheard of and forgotten… Fabrizio Iuli brings you the Slarina variety. Transparent but never hollow. Driven by its earthy mineral laced spicy character, fine textured tannins and a fresh palate with a ripe and juicy red fruit profile. — 7 years ago
Really gorgeous 2001 vintage. All elements fully integrated. Cherry and red currant fruit, allspice, medium tannins, tobacco. Paired with grilled pork, Romano cheese, and parsely sausage. — 10 years ago

Perfectly balanced Barbera from Monferrato… no blueberry jam here, this Bobby Stuckey curated wine has enough “lift” to pair well with charcuterie and more. Dark cherry with a hint of limestone… aged in neutral oak and concrete by Fabrizio Iuli — 4 years ago
