Dark red with browning edges and a wonderful well developed nose without evidence of Madeira, as is the moderate to full body with wonderful complexity and acidity and softened tannins and a Lovely complex aftertaste. Unfortunately, last bottle. 95-98 points — 7 years ago
2015 - tomato leaf on the nose, savory tomato, anise and deep, vibrant fresh raspberry. quite impressive and more evidence that some parts of Europe are benefiting from climate change, at least in the short term. Delicious. — 7 years ago
Campo alla Sughera - Arnione 2006. Drunk over two days. Inky with dark red rim. Still very primary with currant, blackberry, plum in evidence and hint of violets. Cedar, cloves emerge with time as for grilled herbs and leather notes. Good acidity and satisfying finish for a good Bolgheri that shows potential to age. — 8 years ago
More evidence that Beechworth is a great place to make Shiraz. Ticks all the boxes if you want something other than South Australia Shiraz. — 8 years ago
Wine of the day, in my opinion. Or WOTD IMO. 😂 This wine usually needs a decant but with 8 years under her belt, she was a pop and pour delight. A bright, fresh bouquet from the glass and a mouthwatering acidity were refreshing after so many mature wines tonight. This was fantastic and evidence that patience is often rewarded. — 8 years ago
Nice wine. Very enjoyable with a weeknight dinner of grilled pork chops and lots of veggies. — 8 years ago
Maybe our favorite overall, deep and smooth. — 6 years ago
Surprisingly lovely for an 87! Perfect bottle from a private collection (and given to me for $30). Plummy fruit still in evidence with evolved notes of pipe tobacco a bit of moss/ash and red bell pepper. Medium in body with moderate finish, classic claret and really nice overall. Would hate to have tasted this in a lineup with other wines. On its own, it was lovable. — 7 years ago
Pale lemon colour in the glass. Evidence of legs.
Clean on the nose with notes of medium(+) intensity. Primary aromas:
1. green fruit: gooseberry;
2. citrus fruit: grapefruit, lemon;
3. tropical fruit: mango, passion fruit;
Secondary aromas of yeast, no tertiary aromas.
At a developing stage.
On the palate it is dry with pronounced flavour intensity. High acidity, medium alcohol, medium(+) body, long finish.
Well balanced, very complex. Outstanding wine. Drink it now, not suitable for further ageing. — 7 years ago

Deep purple with purple rim. Blackberry, black raspberry, deep cherry, wet earth on the nose. Blueberry, black cherry, black pepper on the palate. Medium acid, full body, low alcohol, nice balance, complexity, medium + length, cocoa on the nose. Low tannins, no evidence of oak. — 8 years ago
Pale gold colour, still youthful. Chablis style with little evidence of oak; instead, a rich seam of minerality and tropical fruit with tooth licking acidity and a long finish that reveals many layers. Not what I expected from a premium new world Chardonnay but utterly delicious - fireworks. — 8 years ago
Een 9.1 voor de geur in de kelder. — 7 years ago
Armenian wine has gained more global popularity since a team of archaeologists discovered the earliest evidence of complete wine production inside an Armenian cave. You probably still won’t find them in most restaurants but you can now get high quality contemporary Armenian wine in specialty shops or online. Karasi by Zorah is pretty unique because it was aged in a Karas instead of a traditional barrel. Nose is similar to Pinot Noir from hotter climate with cherry and peppery notes. Medium bodied with delicate tannins and acidity. Very elegant yet interesting wine. — 7 years ago
A very funky alluring glass of Chardonnay. It could be a high quality Village or Premier Cru Burgundy . Evidence of lees stirring. It is worked but in a good way and not overdone. Down in Launceston at the Annual Pinot and Truffle Festival. When in Rome......... — 7 years ago
Definitely a different chard enjoyed tonight, but never would have guessed it was 12 years old. This one had some slight evidence of butter, but mostly mineral rich. Stelvin capped wine. Finished a bit on the mineral-rich side. If this was a bottle of wine enjoyed at a steakhouse, it would be a really good accompaniment with a bone-in ribeye. — 8 years ago

Golden wine, slight evidence of gas. Lees on the nose, pear, Asian pear, honey, citrus. On the palate, bruised apple, bitter melon, pear, orange peel, citrus fruit, very nice body. Acidity med +, alcohol is low. Juicy fun wine! Got my somm study cards in the background 😂 — 8 years ago
Twisted Vines purchase many years ago; C burnt ruby, evidence of oxidation; N barnyard, leather, cherry, oak; T same, slightly past prime, mild acidity and tannins, increased as wine opened up. Enjoyed with Luciano pepperoni, mushroom, black olive pizza. — 8 years ago

A peppery note on the nose showing evidence of whole bunch in the ferment. Rich red fruits of cherry and raspberry on the palate showing more new world in the warm 2015 vintage with ripe tannins. Some new sources apparently in this year’s blend including declassified Beaune and Monthelie villages alongside the traditional Santenay villages and Santenay 1er cru Commes. Excellent quality for a Village wine and great QPR. — 6 years ago
