Full-bodied, and very velvety-smooth! An extravagant but worth while experience! — 12 years ago
This is a beautiful feminine and elegant wine with very round and Rich flavors while never losing the true essence of the Rhône blend. A very sexy wine. — 11 years ago

2011, St. Urbans-Hof, Ockfener Bockstein Kabinett Riesling. Little petrol on the nose. Pear, a little citrus and some residual sugar. A little young and will improve with time. — 12 years ago
Pretty amazing stuff. Incredibly youthful still, with an abundance of fruit, notably plum. Some leather and earth, but no brett to speak of. Completely resolved tannins with the acid to hold things together. On the decline, but still in the race for a while. A real treat. — 11 years ago
Decided now would be a good time to try out out the 2013 Prisoner. While not as good as the 2011 the structure is different, showing a ton of black pepper and balsamic on the nose with a little bit of violet flowers, and a very lovely, elegant finish. Big bold red and black fruits give way to a lush, black peppery back end. The finish is shorter than expected but still nice. This is still a good wine, just not as good as previous vintages. — 12 years ago

Ah! Silver Oak. Drank while watching Packers lose. So enjoyable. This is the Alexander Valley Cab from 2008. Great vintage, smooth cherry/dark berry fruit. Love 2008 vintage with its burst of fruit and subtle licorice finish — 10 years ago
