100% Pedro Ximenez from vineyards in Moriles Altos, one of the top areas within the Montilla-Moriles appellation. Vines are rooted in albariza (tosca hojaldrada) soils. Aged for an average of 3 years under flor in the solera system and bottled en rama (unfiltered). Intense nose with notes of toasted almonds and yeast. Sharp, very dry and saline on the palate. A very powerful and sapid, quite persistent wine. Umami 💣 — 4 years ago
This was a surprise for its price point and popularity. Very complex. Dark fruit, violets, tobacco, leather, prune, intense. Carries brightness and plenty of structure. Really enjoyed it. — 6 years ago
All native Portuguese grapes made a very good wine. Rich, floral, and tart. I’d almost call it savory. — 6 years ago
This wine is going somewhere. It made me think. — 8 years ago
Very crisp but still goes down easy - I'm a fan — 8 years ago
Relaxing and subtle summer wine. A little watery in a refreshing way, doesn’t get me hungover, a good daytime functioning wine. The bottle is pretty for a dinner party 💕 — 3 years ago
Super bright acidity, just something about how Western Europe designs white wines. So simple but so expressive. Not trying to be anything but just boldly there. — 5 years ago
Alluring aromatics, Lemon zest, grapefruit and ginger, acidity. — 5 years ago
Fruity but soft and easy to drink. — 6 years ago
Very nice. A little spice. I love getting my weekly emails from Vin Chicago. Even if they try to lure me outside my price range — 8 years ago
Had this at Rumis kitchen with Maggee! Delicious — 8 years ago
Fino delicado, redondo y con recuerdos salinos. Excelente relación calidad precio. Nada que envidiar a los finos jerezanos. — 4 years ago
There really is something about island wines. We seem to have an affinity to them all—Madeira, Corsica, Sicily...and here we with are with Canary sack. Red, actually, with terrific poise, balance, and expression of terroir. Double decanted and enjoyed on the second day. Funky nose, with some sweet fruit mixed in. Peppery palate, wet stone, easy fruit, and great acidity. Another winner. — 6 years ago
This is the fucking shit. — 7 years ago
Dark fruit, rich, full body. Good tannic grip at the end. Very enjoyable & approachable wine. In the December CSA bag @Monarch — 8 years ago

Dark fruits, full bodied but soft tannins. Prominent oak but soft and well integrated. Paired great with spicy sausage rigatoni a la vodka. — 2 years ago
