Saint George Nemea Aghiorghitiko 2011

Dad’s house in Easton. Ate with Rude BBQ. Amazing BBQ; especially the brisket. Very good pairing. Impressive at 9 years old. Raspberry, plum, blueberry. Medium-length finish. Hint of sweetness. — 5 years ago

Rinaldi Vineyard Old Vine Zinfandel 2011

Fabulous fruity bouquet. 2011 vintage had a pleasant residual sugar and mild Tania’s and acidity. A delightful wine. Great discovery. — 7 years ago

Alanera Rosso Veronese Corvina Blend 2013

Big red fruit and spice, but still smooth. Very good wine with sausage, artichoke, and penne. Really opened up well after about 20 mins. From the $25 table. Easton, MD. — 8 years ago

Zin isn't my favorite grape but I do give it respect - this wine has chocolate and a little coffee on top of dark berries and definite but restrained varietal character (not brambly) at 5 yrs old. Yum with pasta and red sauce and YUM with chocolate cake! — 10 years ago

High-altitude Sierra foothills Syrah from Bill Easton. Cassis and currant forward with savory tones and tannins that could use a few more years to resolve. Excellent with an outrageous clove-studded, blood orange-glazed Christmas ham. — 10 years ago

Recommended by Savory Grape in East Greenwich, RI as a substitute to a favorite Justin Cab. Delightful finish. Wonderful with food. Light, refreshing, with enough snap to keep you interested. Will most definitely seek again. — 10 years ago
