It's been so long since we've been brave enough to open a red, but with this high 80s "cold front" coming through, it seemed like the right time. This is Bill Easton's and Jane O'Riordan's Rhône-ish GSM. The color is a really lovely deep burgundy, almost mahogany. Smells like cassis, red fruit, and pipe tobacco. Tastes about the same, with some pronounced minerality, but actually surprisingly restrained. A great "cool weather" red!
