Low tannin, good acid, ripe fruit (cranberry/cherry/raspberry) in a balanced and restrained way. A hint of mint. Great value. — 7 years ago
Light bitter, full of flavor. Berries — 7 years ago
A biodynamic wine with indigenous yeast from a crazy-old wine family in Cotes De Bordeaux. Deep red garnet color. The nose is dry herbs, maybe sage. Bright with medium tannins, and flavors of cranberry, cherry, and leather. — 5 years ago
Lifted and elegant, has a high elevation profile with its acid but a lower elevation side with its ripeness and warmth. Carries with it rich red/black fruit, pine, roast beef, coffee grind, undertones of pastille, herbs, and rocks. There’s a layer of brett that is so beautiful, spiced, savory, working well. Reminds me of Chave brett, so alluring. There’s a kiss or reduction but generous air blew it off. Inaugural vintage for this cool site, cant wait to crack the 2015 soon. — 5 years ago
Dark red fruits, soft velvet finish, paired exceptionally well with duck breast — 6 years ago
Medium light - clean . 2015 vintage. — 6 years ago
Woody nose. Herbs. Dried fruit. Unlike any Rhône that I have had. Very interesting. — 7 years ago
Vinous, beastly, soapy. Dry tannins on a sweet, sticky palate. Excellent. — 4 years ago

Well balanced, not overly alcoholic even at 14ABV, not too jammy with dark cherries, underbrush and garrigue, and a touch of spice. Moderate but persistent tannins, lovely finish, a great value! — 7 years ago

We tasted nine Gigondas, 2003-2010, from Domaine Saint-Damien, Domaine Santa Duc and Chateau de Saint Cosme, considered by many to be the top three domaines. Coming in at #7 — 4 years ago
