Intense, brooding, and complex nose. Dark cherry, plum, sandalwood, and charcuterie. The palate is med/full bodied, med acidity and delivers quite opulent sour cherry and plum fruit. Smoke and chocolate on the end palate. Very long. A bit heavy relative to a burgundy, but the flavour profile, complexity, and length do not disappoint. — 6 months ago
Great white wine with very rich fruity taste. — 10 months ago
If one person in the relationship likes salinity and minerality and reads The New Yorker. And the other likes perfumey but still dry whites and reads The Economist. Well this is your wine. Cloudy/unfined. Unripe peach, honeysuckle, and salt. — 3 months ago
High acid, medium bodied and tannins. Petrol, black fruits, and barn yard on the nose. — 3 months ago
Enjoyed it!

Forgot to review this one when we had it so that’s all we remember! — 7 months ago
Excellent whole cluster burgundy. Fruit forward but good structure. — 2 years ago
— 3 months ago
Typically brilliant #chianticlassico 85% #sangiovese 15% #merlot. Red / violet floral + woodsy nose, classic earthy-iron varietal aroma, bright acidity, soft tannins and a bit of roundness courtesy of the Merlot, some spice on the finish. Brilliant pairing with Chicken Paillard topped with blue cheese which brought out the spice in the wine, interestingly enough. — 4 months ago
A young Aglianico, crunchy, joyful with dark cherry but also some tidy rock, a bit of blood & iron. A whiff of dried herbs.
Nice, juicy tannins - a proper bit yet so finely polished. Bright acidity worth a good mouthfeel.
Not decanted and so drinkable. — 9 months ago

Tangerine peel, grapefruit, kiwi fruit and grass clippings rush forth as the 2023 Rosato Ali unfurls in the glass. Expressive, cheerful and open for business, the Ali is light on its feet but neatly framed. Just the right amount of spice-inflected bitterness wraps up the finish. $20.00 (Billy Norris, Vinous, June 2024) — 11 days ago
