We tasted this wine when we visited Chateauneuf-du-Pape in 2013. Wine is Grenache-driven (perhaps 95%) and the blend includes all 13 Chateauneuf-du-Pape varietals. Fruit is from La Crau and from 80 to 100 year old vines. Cherry, strawberry and raspberry fruit, with graphite, licorice, wet stone, forest floor and spice. — 3 years ago

Reticent on both nose and palate for 1st hour. Both unfurl with air. Meat, black fruit, floral on nose. Expands in glass. Palate fills out: nice whack of salty earth, iron, meat, black cherry. Buoyed by ripe tannins and sneaky acidity. No hurry here, but a very satisfying 2006. Re-buy, enthusiastically. — 10 years ago

Nice Sancerre for sitting by the pool — 2 years ago
Lovely wine. Pale straw color. Nose of sage, seashells, salt and green fruit, maybe (maybe) lemon rind. Acidity hits right away at the top of the tongue and quickly transitions around the outside, then lingers deep into the long finish. On the palate there’s green apple and sage, seashells, sea salt, and a touch of sea foam. Green apple skin lingers. Fuller body. I can really go for oysters right now. — 3 years ago
Deep complex nose which explodes on the tongue! Balanced raisiny and luscious dark fruit. — 4 years ago

Very nice, especially from a price to quality perspective. Lighter red in the glass, but at a cool cellar temp this is already quite expressive. Mouth filling, peppery, long finish, great acid, just a bit of tannins on the finish. Excellent with a nice country pate at Bar Boulud. — 8 years ago
This beats most producer's Meursault village, and many 1ers. Taught, electric, citrusy precision. — 8 years ago
Complex nose, full mid-palate, med-long finish, balanced. Delish! — 9 years ago
2012 wow. A big rich wine with plenty of earth and fruit and a touch of funk. Thought it would be lighter. But not complaining — 10 years ago
