This is a super light red. Good stuff. Paired with rainbow chard and eggs. Yum! — 5 years ago
Oily in texture with oxidative qualities. Honey, toasted almond, wet earth, Bosc pear. — 7 years ago
Gorgeous, bright rose from Jura. Perfect with Pardon peppers on a hot summer evening. — 8 years ago

Baby vin jaune. Delicious. — 8 years ago
Just a lovely aged white from Domaine Rolet. The 'Expression du Terroir" is one of my favorites. The finish is so persistent, so much salinity, you'd think this was made with pink Himalayan salt. I love this will seared halibut cheeks with chorizo! This would be great with tandoori chicken as well. — 10 years ago
Really lovely with foie instead of Sauternes much nicer! — 2 years ago
1988 vintage. Very light bodied with some tannins. Flowery with a hint of fruit and and earthy backbone. It tastes a little oxidated in a nice way. — 3 years ago
A treat from Nick & Anthony! Domaine Rolet cepage Poulsard cuvée speciale. @delectable Took only 10 minutes to open up Perhaps beyond its peak but plenty of fruit and perfect acidity. Elegant. — 5 years ago

This is the non-oxydative version of their arbois.
I discovered the wines of Domaine Rolet at a wine fair (salon des vignerons independants) 12 years ago and have since then always liked all their cuvées. I was so happy to find some their wines at a wineshop nearby, here in Poland, for (almost) a reasonable price.
The nose shows crushed rocks scents, pear, lemon, lemon peel, a creamy, lemon curdy thing, too. It's a superb, very precise chardonnay nose. The palate is very well made and almost rich for an arbois wine. There is some width, some nice lemon curd and ripe pear notes, there is a good acid drive, and a bit of grip in the rear. The finish is fresh, precise, showing lemon curd, French pastry notes, lemon peel, and pear juice and goes on for a good 30 seconds. I haven't had a good chardonnay like this in a long time.
