CVed 8/18/17 white Burg comp. Very balanced nose of fruits and acids with notes of white flowers. Palate with firm body and good long finish with hints of peach. — 8 years ago

This one was ridiculous! Simply outstanding with our homemade steak tartare, frisée salad and truffle frites! Very ripe aromas of musky red berries and showing a apparent earth tones. Superb intensity, energy and breadth. Great tannins for a long finish. Get some if you can! — 9 years ago
What a bouquet of aroma! An airy intro followed by earthy and berry rush. — 9 years ago

2008, Domaine Vincent Ricard, Les Trois Chenes, Touraine, Sauvignon Blanc. One of my favorite SB. A little past it's prime but still has lots of primary citrus. Touraine is about a 3 hour drive west of Sancerre. Vincent Ricard has a good lineup of wines. I also like his Gamay/PN blend. — 11 years ago
Woolen, honeyed, pomaceous, herbal, pithy, floral. There’s a lovely smoky flintiness that intensifies with time. Very classic aromatically
with unmistakable limestone/clay terroir, bruised apple, chamomile and lemon pith resonating on the finish. I’m revising my notes because this impressed me more after three days (under basic closure, no argon,
48 F). I still could use a bit more acidity to lift the mid palate, but the ML is not as heavy as I originally thought. — 7 years ago

I was delighted to find Maison Bleue's tasting room in downtown Walla Walla on my last visit, and even more surprised to taste the Domaine J. Meuret Les Chênes Pinot Noir 2013, the inaugural vintage of this label, all of which are single vineyard wines made by Jon Meuret. The quality is outstanding—expressing pie cherries, cranberries, morels and sweet leaf tobacco which fall well below perfumy rose petals and fragrant dried mint. It's weightless and light, with an understory of fine tannins lending structure to grace. — 8 years ago
— 9 years ago
Not the best 2000 from these guys. But still pretty decent. — 10 years ago

When you combine the perfect wine, with the perfect setting, and the perfect company, something magical happens. The 1967 is an amazing bottle of wine. — 7 years ago

At 1st matchstick and citrus opening into burnt orange, honey, hazelnut, butter cream, has a slightly oily texture, tangerine, lingering nose, very complex and rich. Absolutely a stunner! — 10 years ago
