Killed by decanting. Amazing right from opening. A little while decanted - fucked it straight over. High rate is before decant. — 7 years ago

Has the intensity of a Nuits St Georges. Dark, powerful for a burgundy. Complex, but have to coax the aromas out of it. Definitely can age for at least 5 more years. 59.99 at Astor — 8 years ago

66 JJ Confuron Nuits 1er Cru: v promising appearance of bright and medium depth w appropriate "redness" for age. Bouquet lifted and a touch zingy from the VA. Nonetheless cx small red berry fruit, sous bois combining attractively. Vg "bright" entry, the flavours echo the bouquet , med wt w the VA reminding us of its age. Lively farewell and still w Nuits tannins to close. This was still delicious though probably 5 yrs past it's best. This bottle was of superb appearance and level. — 10 years ago
Seems like infanticide even with 12 years on it. Reticent at first but became quite floral with time in the glass. Surprising elegance for a Charmes. Not as muscular as I was expecting. A pleasant surprise. 93+ — 6 years ago
Wicked. Dirty dirty dirty flirty. Stones and rocks and Earth and dirt. Super potent fruity goodness. Best bachelor party ever. #grandcrufriday — 7 years ago

Tightly wound. Tannins turned my mouth inside out. All the structure is there should open up in 5ish years but certainly built for 20+.. — 9 years ago

Great wine, right on the top! — 7 years ago
Unexpected beauty, balance of dark, brambly fruit with stony earth an a tad of sappy sweet. Light tannins framed it all out. Nice! Even for Francophones, in NA "Crap-a-lot" has to be a tough name to market, no? Kudos to #bouillonbilk — 8 years ago
Not sure where plot is located in vineyard, but certainly not the intensity and complexity as say Confuron-Cotetidot's rendition. — 8 years ago
