No hint of oak or butter yet delicious without them. Smooth and complex. — 5 years ago
I love these wines. So damn drinkable and interesting. Light and pretty without every being cloying. — 5 years ago
— 6 years ago
Chalk and lemon dust over iris petals with lipstick and active-art eraser; a reflection of tangerine, with a glint of dried apricot a tantalizing afterthought in this pink bouquet. Round mouthfeel with prickles of lemon citrus and quince extruded past clementine braiding through its pith-webbing in a flat, ruby red grapefruit and lemon orchestration. #guegen #rosé #bourgogne #pinkstuff #pinkwine #roseallday #pinotnoir #pinotrosé — 7 years ago
Whoa! I'm essentially only developing my tastes, so this rating may be rather arbitrary, but this wine had everything I would look for in a quality red... complexity and nuance matched by a consistent rich brightness in its flavor (sorry I'm not identifying the technical flavors it exhibits, sommelier please), a rich body that stays facile and drinkable... I sipped this wine over a period of hours and was a revelation!! Enjoy my friends.
Ps. Any notes of dissent or assent are entirely welcome, I love learning all about wine, and I see this has not been reviewed as of yet😃 — 8 years ago
Very great depth of fruit. Good value and increasingly good tastes coming from languedoc-rousillon. — 9 years ago
This actually ended up being a really interesting Thanksgiving wine. 40% Gamay, 40% Chardonnay, and 20% Mondeuse. It ends the white or red question with a “How about both?” Light, high acid. Citrus, cranberry. Simple, but highly drinkable. Allows the food and company to take center stage. — 4 years ago
Lighting in a bottle!!! Not just a reference to the raw acid and kinetic energy of this wine but also the insanity/ingenuity of the man behind it: the kind of brilliant lunatic who makes a 100% Pinot Blanc champagne (aged on the lees in amphora and neutral oak) and succeeds. A lesser grape, ha! Pristine and powerful with a finish that, like Celine Dion’s heart, goes on and on. Could’ve probably used some more time in bottle to unwind, but to hell with it, it was my birthday and I have no regrets. Paired with fried chicken. — 5 years ago
One of the QPR Australian wines of all time - see previous notes from 167 weeks ago. Winner of at least 10 trophies on the Australian Wine Show circuit and costing around $20. Made by French winemaker Celine Rousseau, in the cool climate Hilltops district of NSW. This is the last of an original 2 dozen. — 6 years ago
Funky and delicious. Blend of Carignan, Cinsault, Clairette, Grenache, Grenache Blanc. Grenache Gris, Macabeu, Malvasia, Muscat a Petits Grains, Ugni Blanc, Aramon, Terret, and Jacquet from apparently 200 year old pre-phylloxera vines. On the nose, black pepper, black fruit, iron and stone. In the mouth, bright and earthy, black currants and cherries, some floral elements. Tannic and acidic mid-palate. Long finish. Very fresh and natural. — 7 years ago
Super - green apple, minerals, dry and some honey finish — 4 years ago
Getrunken bei Peter Bless. — 4 years ago
Contrary to my last note, this IS my last bottle of 2 dozen. Mid Ruby in colour. Dark ripe cherries with a little pepper on both nose and palate. Can see why this wine has won 13 Trophies on the Australian Show Circuit including 5 at Royal Sydney. Ridiculous value at $22 or less. So easy to drink. Made by French winemaker Celine Rousseau in the cool climate Hilltops District near Young NSW. Wish I had more. — 5 years ago
Yep. Spot on. In the shadows of Mont Ventoux sips the thirsty mouth on a bottle of rosé. That’s it, I’m retiring in this lounge chair. — 6 years ago
