Baby Allemand — 8 years ago
Next level Beaujolais. Insane. Channeling Thierry Allemand in style. — 10 years ago
Just a couple of barrels made, mostly for himself. — 13 years ago
Can’t get enough of these wines. Alive, structure, crunchy, drinkable. Imagine allemand and dujac had a red baby ... — 8 years ago
Wow. I’ve never had a beer like this. Nose is spot on for a Thierry Allemand Cornas, with beautiful toluene and rich sweet fruit. Palate initially is heavy on the oak and then settles more and more towards a combination of complex Syrah and funky sour. — 8 years ago
Mag. Big juicy baked red and black fruit flavors, spice cake, garrigue, licorice, roasted game, slightly secondary but mostly unevolved. Great stuff but a little early on this one, suffered by comparison with Rayas and Allemand in same flight. Life is so hard sometimes — 9 years ago
Honestly reminding me of allemand. Not quite at that level, but to be reminded at this cost, pretty incredible. Elegant, sexy, funky, what more do you want from Syrah?? — 9 years ago
Love it - still going strong. Respect above all as a strong influence to Thierry Allemand! — 10 years ago
Unicorn wine?? 2005 Thierry Allemand Saint-Joseph. Drinking really well right now. — 10 years ago
Imagine Allemand being kidnapped and transported to the Wine Ghetto. Imagine him being told “do your Syrah thing...or else”. Carbonic. Sans soufre. Gaining weight and complexity 36 hours after opening. Will easily go 10 years. Sublime & extraordinary. #stolpmanvineyards #syrah #ballardcanyon #sanssoufre #carbonic — 8 years ago
Excellent riesling allemand. — 8 years ago
Du gin allemand super étonnant, plein de goût. — 8 years ago
17.5. 2005. Not quite the complexity of the Allemand, but lots of delicious fruit, seriously sauvage. Strong black pepper. — 9 years ago
Gorgeous nose. Bittersweet cocoa, ripe red berry fruits, wild herbs, spice, leathery and it is deep and precise. Very polished yet not modern at all. Kind of like Allemand or Guiberteau. Palate has terrific acidity, freshness and vivid fruit. Great mouthfeel. Has structure and beautiful tannins. Needs 1 or 2 hours. It really comes into balance after two hours. — 9 years ago
One way to blind a bottle. Fantastic stuff. Swore it was Allemand. — 10 years ago
I heard rumors that this vintage has really come out of its shell, and I was pleased to find the rumors true. Dark, dark Syrah fruit. Sweet, deep and intense for a Michel wine, but open. Several great producers have studied under Robert Michel, including Thierry Allemand. I love his wines and it's always tough popping these bottles since he retired in 2006. — 12 years ago

This and the Allemand Cornas were 1 and 1A last night at the Berry poolside pig roast. Fully mature and not as tannic as many La La’s I’ve had. This strutted from the pop. Roast venison, black olive, menthol, sage and an undercurrent of bright red fruit to compliment the darker components. In a very very good place. — 7 years ago
