Honey dew, pear, light citrus and fine minerality. Complements croque monsieur amazingly and reminds me of soon-to-be dogwood blossoms. — 10 years ago
We had this at Thistle in McMinnville, Oregon — 11 years ago
Fruit forward, better day two, little flavor of typical vegetable/thistle — 11 years ago
Great Pinot Noir. It's right at its peak, but still tasty. — 12 years ago
Magnolia or dogwood blossom, bees wax, honeydew melon, dried apricot and a touch of petrol. Palette is lively with grapefruit acid, and weight. Interesting balance between the two. Focused and clean wine with a long tangy citrus finish. — 10 years ago
Drier and more robust than this winery's Batteau Red but just as good with smoke and warm fruit flavors that linger. #vawine — 10 years ago
Cinnamon and I decided to stay with the chalk theme to go with out haul from the Carmel Cheese Shop and our fresh-from-Castroville Thistle Hut artichokes. This en Rama bottling was fantastic, close to Amontillado richness and complexity, but all Fino refreshment! — 10 years ago
Sweet leather, thistle, earth and a very complex palate. Leaning on the Brett for the palate weight — 11 years ago
Completely unexpected. Tastes like a cross between Vernier and Villemade. Carbonic was less evident than typical Loire. A wind that also lets one understand the use of concrete too. Drank with fantastic dinner at Thistle in McMiniville. — 11 years ago

This is a great red zin. Smoother and less peppery than a traditional red zin. More fruity. Try it with friends! — 12 years ago
Lots of tiny bubbles with a thick head. Good aroma of cloves, banana and spice. Smooth, balanced mouthfeel with light malt and a bit of hops. The barrel aging brings the flavors together nicely! — 10 years ago
Prunes, plums, raisins...damp wet mushroom underbrush and thistle.
An Autumnal wine...Still young and a bit big for me, but all in all highly quaffable juice. — 10 years ago
Sandalwood and dried earth on the nose with a touch of dried herb. Soft tanins on top of tart cherries and blackberry thistle. — 10 years ago
Don't really know what this #wine is...red fruit, weight, spice, malo, tannin, structure — 11 years ago
Medium high intensity of garnet & a dense purple core. Medium & slightly aged aromas of dried brambly red fruit. Nice musty/earthy notes that give way to dried thistle & cherry flavors on the palate with a slate, pepper & mineral finish all wrapped in warm, well balanced oak. Medium tannins & moderately high alcohol length & finish is medium. A great bargain at $19. — 11 years ago
