Mathieu has taken over winemaking and has done a fabulous job. This was all bright mid red fruits with some hues of blue and soft earthiness. Fresh & pure wire to to wire and a really nice pair with Hedy’s amazing spicy pumpkin soup. @ Plate & Bottle. Completely unexpected. Tastes like a cross between Vernier and Villemade. Carbonic was less evident than typical Loire. A wind that also lets one understand the use of concrete too. Drank with fantastic dinner at Thistle in McMiniville. — 10 years ago
