Pale straw color with small bubbles. Wet gravel, flinty, red apple, creamy nose. Crisp green apple with a little sweetness. Mild minerality. Delicious and elegant. The best exclusive toTrader Joe’s wine available! Blows Veuve and other famous houses out of the water for the price. Never pass this one up when you see it if you love Champagne! One of the greatest tête de cuvées made for my money! This mostly Aÿ grand cru, mostly Pinot Noir bottle has both intense, round Burgundian fruit, but also incredible chalky drive. Impressive! — 10 years ago

Founded over 160 years ago, Delas Frères was acquired by Champagne Deutz in 1977. 100% Syrah from a blend of grapes 70% Cote Brune & 30% Cote Blonde, aged in French oak (30% new), aromas of red berry fruits and complex spice. On the palate raspberry and plum flavors, savory with herb pepper spice. Fine tannins, nice mouthfeel, lingering ending with fruit and mineral on ending. — 7 years ago

J'aime le dimanche! This comes from Patrick Arnoulds oldest & best plot of Pinot in the grand cru of Verzenay. It could not have been more different than the William Deutz last night despite the varietal similarity. This was as precise as a Mesnil BdB, ultra long, chalky and a touch austere. The high toned red cherry Pinot was pure, cool and in spite of 6 years on the lees, there was too much concentration in the wine to show any toast. — 10 years ago
