I’m a sucker for Spanish Tempranillo. This wine seems less fruity and simultaneously more tannic than what I normally have. But still delicious. This is my first non Rioja Tempranillo. This is from the Castilla and Leon region. Typical? I’m eager to find out. — 6 years ago

Smooth ribera, notes of cherry and leather, strong nose of vanilla. Age has mellowed it to very smooth taste — 8 years ago

2011 vintage. Lovely lovely. Spicey up front, grippy little tannins , balanced, fruit forward, got some length, nice oak. Fun. — 6 years ago
Tremendous smooth and rich on the tongue right out of the bottle. Slowly unfolded into a big smoke and leather taste. Gorgeous tannin not acidic but smooth. Some nice terroir. Outstanding. — 6 years ago
Sexy little number. Sour cherry, tobacco, cedar. — 7 years ago
Big powerful #redwine #domadrid #cabernetsaugvinon blend #winesofspain high octane, high alcohol high everything. Primaries of ripe jammy cranberries and raspberries, dark cherries and bramble. Secondary balsamic aromas, sandalwood and cedar. As you taste it, you really wonder where it's from and what varieties are within? That seems like Merlot? Or maybe that dark cherry is a ripe Cabernet? Could it possibly have Garnacha? — 8 years ago
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Tempranillo. Cultivated organically in a “biodiversity reserve” in the Castilla la Mancha región near Valencia but outside of any DO, so technically it is an IGT. Black pepper, sweet blackberries, and smoke on the nose, with black cherry, spice, dark chocolate on the palate. Smooth tannins and acidity. A medium long, sweet finish, with I imagine some residual sugar here, (I bet it’s right on the line), but it is still a dry wine. Super easy to drink! — 5 years ago
Good berry nose. Subdued cherry. Dark wine. Cassis, vanilla. Puckery tannin. Pretty good. — 6 years ago

Bought from Majestic and drank at home. Nice easy to drink wine balanced and fresh. Similar to the red we bought from St-Omer. Didn't keep as well over the weekend — 5 years ago
